In a world of emails, messages and digital notifications, there's something wonderfully special about receiving something through the letterbox that someone has taken the time to create.
Looking for something a little different to send to your mum, grandparent, a gardening relative, a friend or someone who would appreciate a regular surprise? Or looking for a beautiful monthly pick-me-up to look forward to yourself?
The Botanical Mail Club makes a thoughtful alternative to flowers, chocolates or another gift that might be quickly forgotten. You can have the envelopes sent directly to their home, so they receive something lovely to open and enjoy each month.
A particularly lovely gift for:
Parents and grandparents.
Older relatives living alone.
Someone living in a residential or nursing home.
People who love gardening, flowers and nature.
Friends who enjoy art, illustration and beautiful stationery.
Anyone who would appreciate a little regular feel-good post.
Each month is inspired by a flower in season, with a curated collection of botanical treasures inside:
A hand-signed botanical art print – Featuring one of my watercolour or coloured pencil illustrations. Each artwork begins with an intricate drawing that takes many hours to create, before being professionally reproduced onto beautiful 300gsm textured card and hand-signed by me.
A thoughtfully written two-page letter from me – Reflecting on the month, discussing the reasons for choosing the particular flower, details about the process and any other fun tidbits I've found out about the flower! (Did you know Agatha Christie particularly loved dahlias? Or that the bottom petals of pansies have tiny hairs on them leading to the centre to guide bees to the pollen?)
A botanical fact sheet – Filled with facts about the month's featured flower, from its scientific characteristics and botanical curiosities to its history, folklore and interesting little discoveries. There may even be the occasional poem or literary surprise!
A beautiful envelope – Specially colour-matched to the month's flower, complete with an elegant embossed gold stamp.
A colouring sheet – An outline of the month's flower for you to colour in for a relaxing activity, if you wish. (If it's not your thing, get any children / grandkids / neices or nephews involved!)
A fold-out print stand – So you can display your botanical artwork in your home.
A surprise extra each month! – Perhaps a bookmark, a coaster, a sticker, a gift tag, a greeting card to send on, a themed wordsearch... you'll have to wait to find out!
5% of your subscription will be donated to the charity Plantlife, helping to support their wonderful work protecting and conserving Britain's wild flowers and plants.
